Struggling with assignments

Wow! What a journey. It has taken me hours to do my assignments. I know that I am learning valuable things that I can use with my library and in my personal life but it has been a real struggle. I used the "help" button on wetpaint but it was more of a trial and error experience. There were many times when I wanted to give up. I have no time to do any of this at work so I fit it in when I can at home. Well, I guess tomorrow I have have another assignment waiting.

Difference between a wiki and a blog

A blog is more of something that you would use to post information. A wiki is a more interactive tool. I could see a blog being used in our library to post new books, new policies, and to teach. We would be more likely to use a wiki for things such as a journal club for nurses where they could actively participate.

The importance of rss feeds

Learning about RSS feeds will be a valuable resource for the ERC. As a librarian, it will enable me to keep up with my professional reading in order to keep our library practices up to date. It will help me to send the latest research articles to physicians when they are released by sending myself an RSS feed from PubMed on their preferred searches.

Patrons will be happy to get all of their table of contents at one place and electronically instead of our traditional paper table of contents service.
